Top 9 Free, Except Coconut Oil

Yesterday we made them using Cocoa Pebbles cereal, which his Top 9 Free, with the exception of coconut oil.

Marshmallow Substitute

As I’ve mentioned before, marshmallows are Top 9 Free and gluten free, however, if you are concerned about cross-contamination, you can also try Dandies brand. Dandies are vegan and kosher.

Vegan, Dairy-Free Butter Substitute

For a butter substitute, I love to use Earth Balance. If you are not using a salted butter, you can just add 1 teaspoon to the butter while melting it in the pot.

Quick, Easy & Fun!

These are such a fun, quick, easy treat that the whole family can enjoy! Don’t get me wrong I love my cookies and other desserts, but you can’t beat whipping up something in 5 minutes and impressing all the kids!

Plus, you will notice the more you follow my blog that I don’t have a ton of healthy recipes, most of them are kid related and fun treats. That’s because as we have gone through the years I have noticed that my food allergy kiddo seeks out the fun! Why? Because often times at youth activities, family functions, and out around town or on vacation, the fun stuff is what he misses out on due to his food allergy. So we make up for that as much as possible at home!

As mentioned in my recent post for our Fruity Rainbow Cereal Treats, you can make these with nearly any cereal you choose! It’s very forgiving that way! So have fun with it, and make it yours! I have an oldie but goodie that I make for our campouts as well, that I will be sharing soon. I’ll give you a hint, it has one of my favorite breakfast cereals as an ingredient – can you guess in the comments which cereal that is?!
