I love a good expo! I’m like a kid in a candy store. All your favorites in one spot.
So naturally when I heard the Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo was coming to town, I had to be sure and apply to be included in their official blogger and social media press list!
You should totally come too. Here’s the deet’s, but I’ll remind you again at the end of the post: Get a 20% discount using the code ADVANCE now through Friday the 22nd. Grab your tickets only here: http://bit.ly/2MHeQJs
Why I Am Head Over Heels Excited About GFAFExpo 2018!
So, if you love going to Whole Foods or your other favorite store that is loaded aisle to aisle with all your fav food allergy finds, then you’ll love the GFAFExpo! Why? Because it’s like Whole Foods come to life. Not only do you have all the products you’ve come to know and love, you’ve got new ones, samples til your bag is overflowing, and better yet -my most favorite thing of all – the vendors are there to chat with!!
Before I had a child with life threatening (read, deadly) anaphylactic food allergies, and a husband with autoimmune disease induced gluten intolerance, I wouldn’t be too interested on chattin’ it up with the vendors. HOWEVER, any food allergy individual out there knows the amount of blood, sweat, tears and time that goes into contacting manufacturers to double check a label or investigate cross-contamination and more.
So now you don’t have to Google, find the number on the website, call, be transferred, wait on hold, talk to someone that isn’t sure, yada yada yada. The thought of that fiasco just makes me want to pull my hair out y’all! So this is like a present and I love it!

Products, Freebies & Samples Oh My!
Now to the even more fun part (in my opinion) out of over 70 exhibitors, I only have used or heard of roughly 14. So what does that mean? I’m going to get to learn about potentially over 50 new food allergy friendly finds! Friends!!!! I’m so excited! Plus, I’ll be honest here, I get a little starstruck over these vendors that I’ve come to know and love! Why? Because they have been life changing for those near and dear to me. They have had a positive affect on my loved ones. They help nourish my loved ones. Let’s just say if I could hug them. I would. They are like family.
I’m excited about seeing and learning more about old “finds”, and super hyped about new “finds”. Lots of doors open up to my son and husband when we find new substitutes. It’s kind of like Christmas folks. Christmas in June, in the Arizona desert, at 110 degrees (or hotter – yes it gets even hotter). And I can’t wait!
