If there is one thing that we eat all year round in this family, it’s chips and salsa! Literally not a week goes by that we are not eating this yummy go to snack. Not only do we love it as a snack, we have it as a side during many meals! We even keep it on hand as a topping for our meals!

I’m kind of a salsa snob. Not sure if it’s because I’m half Mexican, or just because I’ve lived in the southwestern United States for basically my entire life. Either way, I’m not a fan of jar salsa. There are very few brands that taste good. Am I right?!

Homemade is the best! It’s as close to restaurant salsa as you can get. Who doesn’t love inhaling baskets of chips and bowls of salsa when dining out?! Then your food gets to you and you’re full on chips and salsa, ha!

So here you go, friends. This is the recipe we love to use. What I love about it, is that many ingredients you can keep stocked in your pantry, and you can use it to make your guac! Ya baby!!

Recipe Notes
For a more mild salsa, pick one can of tomatoes and chilies that is mild, or even both mild. Additionally, you can use either the seeds from 1 jalapeno, or both, the more seeds the hotter it will be. The heat is in the seeds!
