Ingredients

  • 30 Gluten Free Glutino Pretzel Twists or other allergy friendly pretzel twist
  • 30 unwrapped Rolo chewy caramels in milk chocolate
  • 90 Coastal Bay, Sunrise, Jelly Belly or other allergy friendly candy corn
  • 60 Wilton mini candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Place pretzels in rows on cookie sheet. Place one Rolo, on each pretzel 1:1 ratio. Bake for 5 minutes in oven. Remove and working quickly, place 3 candy corn in the top of the Rolo, horizontally, making a set of "turkey feathers". Next, bite off the bottom 2/3 of a candy corn, leaving just the wide end/yellow end of the candy corn and place that yellow portion on the Rolo as a beak for the turkey. Finally, gently place a set of candy eyes just above the nose. Let the candies set about 30 minutes to an hour, or you can alternately place in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes to speed up this process.

Recipe Notes

If you are gluten free, Glutino are a great option. Alternately, for peanut free options, Rold Gold & Snyders are typically allergy friendly options. Remember to read every label every time.

Rolo contain milk and soy.

For the candy corn the brands mentioned in the recipe have typically been allergy friendly, and can usually be found at Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and WalMart.

I have always had good luck in finding the Wilton's mini eyeballs at my local grocery store as well as WalMart.
