SunButter & Marshmallow Creme Sandwich

My Past Loves

Okay so we’ve heard the quotes, “you are the peanut butter to my jelly”, “we go together like peanut butter and jelly”. Well, there’s a new famous couple in town, let me introduce you to my friends, SunButter and Marshmallow Creme!

When I was a little girl I was impartial to the peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I didn’t love it, but it wasn’t terrible. However, I did love peanut butter, sliced bananas and honey. If you haven’t tried it, sub your safe foods and whip one up. So. Good!

It’s A Whole New World

My son is anaphylactic to peanuts, and is picky as all get out! So we’ve tried all the different lunch meats and he is grossed out by the texture. Also he hates vegetables. I tried the obvious, SunButter and jelly. Who doesn’t like jelly right?! I even can my own organic jam! He doesn’t like it.

Picky Eaters

I’m over here, just a mom, sittin’ in her kitchen trying to get her kid to eat a sandwich. I try to have my children eat healthy, but sometimes instead of making perfect the evil of good, we do crazy things. Like make a SunButter and Marshamallow Creme sandwich because we have exhausted all other efforts.

I held my breath while I waited for him to try it. Just one bite, I begged. Come on, just one bite. He tried it, and he liked it! In fact, he asks for them all the time now! In fact, all his siblings do too!

Not Just Any One Will Do

There is a trick to it though. You’ve got to get the yellow lid SunButter. It’s the most like peanut butter in taste and texture. There are some other versions of SunButter out there but just remember… yellow lid! You do have to give it a stir before using it, like peanut butter back in the day because the ingredients are minimal, and the oil separates just a tad.

So there you have it. SunButter and Marshmallow Creme, it’s pretty much like heaven.
